    Up for auction is a Scarce, Original promotional handbill flier and program for the First Annual New York Jazz Festival, August 24-25, 1956 at Randall’s Island Stadium in
    New York City
    .
    Listed on the handbill include:
    Billie Holiday, Chet Baker, Count Basie, Joe Williams, the Modern Jazz Quartet, Erroll Garner, Gene Krupa, Bud Shank, Lionel Hampton, Dave Brubeck, Gerry Mulligan, Coleman Hawkins, Buck Clayton and many others.
    - Handbill Flyer.
    One illustrated sheet displaying the list of performers and dates with ticket and venue information on the lower portion.
    Excellent condition with some wear on the upper portion and small staple holes and minor rust stain on the upper portion (which could be covered by matting if framed).
    Cannot believe many of these survived - after collecting/buying and selling jazz-related ephemera for more than 20 years, I've never seen another one.
    Measures h-10 ½ x w-6 inches.
