    There are many pieces of audio equipment, preamps and power amps that require an XLR Jumper Shorting Strap when using the unbalanced RCA inputs. The jumper is inserted in the XLR sockets Pin 1 and Pin 3. Krell, Pass Labs and NewClear Audio utilize these. They are easy to lose and hard to find, have a spare pair on hand.
