    The unit was established in 1987 and was reactivated in 2020 and oriented to urban combat with short-distance guided missiles. It was involved with operations against terror in the Palestinian controlled area of Gaza.
    The insignia pin is given only to soldiers who have completed successfully the long field training.
    The back side of the insignia has two attachment pins
