Egg Cup w Underplate-Hukin & Heath Silver Plate + Royal Doulton ca 1902

Description

Offered is a very nice egg cup of silverplated metal attached to a porcelain underplate/bowl. The silver portion was made by Hukin & Heath Silver and the underplate/bowl by Royal Doulton. The unusual design of this egg cup was attributed to Christopher Dresser. The Royal Doulton mark on the bottom was used circa 1902. The silver is stamped with both a French patent number and an English patent number. The piece measures about 2 and 1/2 inches tall and is about 3 and 3/8 inches across. It's in very good condition and a hard-to-find item.
All prices are in US dollars. I'll be happy to combine multiple purchases into one package to save you on shipping costs. However, in 2020 the USPS added an extra fee for any package bigger than 12x12x12 inches so it's often more cost effective to keep the items in separate boxes to avoid the oversized box cost. I'll try to check it both ways and give you the best price. If an oversized box is needed for any package, FedEx is often the most cost effective way to send it and I'll use them instead if that's the case.
