    Decig pondar (pondur) is an ancient national instrument of the Vainakhs - Chechens and Ingush. A three-choir plucked musical instrument, widespread among the peoples of the Caucasus. With the advent of the accordion ("Kehat-pondar"), the people also give the pondar the name "dechig-pondar". The instrument has a wooden body, hollowed out of one piece of wood, an elongated shape with a flat top and curved bottom, and is traditionally made of walnut.
