Antique Teapot: Simpson, Hall, Miller

Antique silver-plate teapot produced by Simpson, Hall, Miller & Co. in Wallingford CT. between 1866 and 1895. Their mark appears on the bottom.Pattern number is 2000 as marked. Each of 4 legs represents a deer head, antlers, with leg and hoof. Intricate design.
8.5 inches high x 9” long x 5.5” wide. Monogrammed. A similar piece was identified with market value between 5 -0. Some polishing residue. Small indentation at bottom on makers mark, one to lower right side of the "P" monogram, and one near the lid. Slight damage to the spout (Top offset to right)(See pictures)
Many of this company’s designs have been collected by American museums including the Dallas Museum of Art, Philadelphia Museum of Art, and Yale University Art Gallery. In 2005-07, Modernist silver designs by Simpson, Hall, Miller & Co. were featured in a traveling museum exhibition (Dallas, Washington, Miami Beach, Reno and Memphis).
